The New Yugo

About the project

The New Yugo is a modern reinterpretation of the iconic Zastava Yugo, reimagined as a compact electric vehicle while preserving the bold, angular character of the original. The project was developed as a design study, exploring how a recognizable automotive icon could evolve to meet contemporary design trends and future mobility.

Inspired by the simplicity and cultural significance of the original Yugo, the concept combines clean geometric surfaces, modern lighting, and a sporty stance with an EV-focused identity. Every element—from the body proportions and front fascia to the custom emblem and presentation—was designed to respect the heritage of the original while giving it a fresh, forward-looking appearance.

The project was created using Cinema 4D for modeling and Adobe Photoshop for post-production and presentation design. It reflects my passion for automotive design, 3D visualization, and creating concepts that bridge nostalgia with innovation.
